Set in Oklahoma Territory at the turn of the 20th century, the musical follows farmer Curly and farm girl Laurey as their relationship unfolds amid community life and frontier-era tensions. Its blend of story, song, and dance helped reshape American musical theatre.

The score features enduring songs including “Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin',” “The Surrey with the Fringe on Top,” “People Will Say We're in Love,” and “Oklahoma.” The original Broadway production ran for 2,212 performances, a record at the time, and the show received a special Pulitzer Prize citation in 1944. This production's specific cast, staging, and opening acts have not been provided. The supplied show information lists an approximate runtime of 2.5–3 hours, including one intermission.
